Jaime MP, currently awaiting the Supreme Court’s ruling on his appeal of a 52-year sentence handed down by the Valencia Provincial Court, stands accused of continuing sexual harassment involving young victims. The alleged offenses include sexual assault through sexual access to four other minors aged 4, 7, 15, and 17. The case centers on a man who mixed his coaching duties with a military career in the municipality of l’Horta, and came to light in December 2019 after his wife discovered explicit pedophilic material on a USB drive belonging to him and involving their child. After the initial arrest, he was released as investigations continued to determine the full extent of alleged abuse and the number of victims. Police later reported that the accused may have acted again, driven by lust, according to details provided by a colleague.
The mother of two newly identified victims testified about abuse occurring between March 2020 and September 2021. She opened her home to the suspect, unaware of the real reason for his detention. The defense claimed that the arrest stemmed from an accusation of violence against his partner at the barracks where they were stationed.
Because of the alleged familiarity and trust built with his partner, the defendant was sometimes left to watch the children, aged seven and four. He reportedly slept at home on some nights, sometimes in the same bed as the youngest child, a detail the mother described as a traumatic shock upon learning what had occurred.
Allegations included inappropriate encounters with his siblings and cousins, aged 15 and 17, with whom he had formed relationships during that period. The defendant acknowledged receiving WhatsApp messages from the older associate who accompanied him during the events.
The prosecutor requests an additional 25-year prison sentence for sexual abuse and sexual assault.
The defendant, who answered his lawyer’s questions only, denied any sexual contact with minors and claimed to have slept with none of them, stating he merely stayed a few days and often slept on the couch. Verónica Guaita, from the Castillo Castrillón office, recorded the defense’s statements but emphasized that no sexual acts occurred according to the defendant’s account.
The prosecutor sought a further 25-year term for continuous sexual abuse of a child under 16, along with two additional charges of minor abuse and sexual abuse of a victim over 16. The sentence would be added to the existing 53-year term, unless the Supreme Court invalidates evidence obtained in the related case, including the discovery of more than 50,000 files of alleged pedophilia on USB devices examined by authorities. The case emerged after information about extensive pornographic material involving minors became public, and the accused’s friend reportedly alerted authorities after the children disclosed details of the abuse, noting that the activities began when they were as young as four years old.
