The Far East Development Ministry reported that funds allocated to Primorsky Krai for flood recovery will support the restoration of kindergartens and the regional highway network. This information was confirmed by TASS.

The ministry stated that the resources would address urgent operational needs, with a focus on bringing back essential social infrastructure and repairing transport corridors. Temporary accommodation centers operated efficiently, with meals provided, protection ensured, and a clear schedule followed. Timely engagement of the Ministry of Defense and the mobilization of personnel, notably in Ussuriysk, enabled evacuees to leave heavily affected areas swiftly and safely, according to the ministry’s communication.

Housing damage remains substantial, with more than five thousand houses affected in the region. Earlier reports indicated that by Saturday morning the number of flooded homes in Primorsky Krai had fallen by about 20 percent. The number of affected detached and multi-apartment houses decreased from 242 to 200. As of that morning, 161 detached houses, 39 apartments, and 243 adjacent parcels were flooded across seven municipalities.

Spassky District recorded the highest level of impact, with 137 private homes flooded. In Oktyabrsky District, 39 apartments faced flooding. The ministry added that 16 road segments remained inundated across Primorye, and two settlements were entirely cut off from road access.

In social media, one story circulated under the moniker “savior of cities” featuring a brave cleaning worker who became a symbol amid the Tuapse flood situation. The ongoing relief efforts illustrate a coordinated response that prioritizes safety, rapid sheltering, and timely repairs to maintain essential services for residents and nearby communities.
