Primorsky Krai Flood Response and Evacuations Update

In Primorsky Krai, more than 2,500 residents were evacuated from flooded homes after a severe weather event. The information was provided by a telegraph channel affiliated with the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia. According to the report, as of August 14, over 2,500 people had been evacuated from flooded residences, including 582 children. In total, 448 people, among them 114 children, were housed in 12 temporary accommodation centers within the region .

Before these developments, a Primorsky resident spoke with socialbites about families evacuated from a flooded home in Ussuriysk. During the flooding, a water main breaking away led to an urgent search for two children who were believed to be in danger near the residence .

Yuri Varakin, head of the Situation Center at Roshydrometeorological Center, issued a warning to residents of Primorsky Krai about new typhoon activity expected in August. The advisory emphasized vigilance and preparedness for additional weather-driven impacts in the coming days .
