Heavy rains triggered widespread disruption across Primorsky Krai, cutting transport connections to more than 20 settlements in seven municipalities. Regional authorities confirmed the impact, noting that roads and routes were blocked as the weather intensified.
On August 5, additional rainfall led to travel restrictions in 15 municipalities within Primorye. The Regional Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies reported that 21 settlements faced transportation isolation across Partizansky, Olginsky, Chuguevsky, Yakovlevsky, Terneysky, Krasnoarmeysky districts and the Dalnerechensky district. The situation remained fluid as crews assessed road conditions and worked to restore links.
By Monday morning, the villages of Krasnoyarovka and Orlinoe in Yakovlevsky District were cut off from usual transport routes. Polynikha and Berezovka in Chuguevsky District also lost connectivity, while Amgu, Maksimovka, Ust-Sobolevka, Svetlaya, Edinka, Peretychikha, Samarga and Agzu in Terneysky District were inaccessible. Dersu, Dalniy Kut, Molodeznoye and Melnichnoe in Krasnoarmeisky District faced transport outages as well.
In Dalnerechensky District, Martynov Polyany, Bogolyubovka and Polyany were separated from the mainland. The village of Furmanovo in Olginsky District lost its transport links, and Partizan in Partizansky District became isolated from surrounding areas.
Response teams ensured the continued supply of fuel, essential goods and medicines to all isolated settlements. The region had endured two weeks of heavy rain, accompanied by multiple storm warnings from forecasters, with the latest advisories issued on Friday and Saturday.
Emergency measures were intensified in several districts. In Shkotovsky District, as well as in Partizansky urban and municipal districts, an emergency regime was declared due to flooding of plots and homes. A broader state of emergency followed in 14 districts as crops faced flood-related damage.
A municipal emergency regime was established in Chuguevsky District and in the villages of Lazo and Staraya Kamenka within Lazovsky District. By August 4, a total of 261 households in the area reported flooding, highlighting the scale of the impact on rural communities and local infrastructure.
Alongside the flood response, authorities emphasized coordinated relief operations. Fuel deliveries, food supplies and medical resources were prioritized to ensure that residents could remain in place where possible, while rescue teams prepared for rapid evacuation if necessary. Ongoing meteorological updates warned of potential further rainfall and rising river levels, prompting continued vigilance and readiness across districts.
