The National Police have arrested two men and identified a third person in connection with alleged sexual assault, illegal detention, and crimes affecting public health involving a woman in the town of Albacete. The events are reported to have occurred over a period that began in the previous days and culminated in a series of disturbing acts.

The victim, a 30-year-old woman, was found in the early hours on public streets. She stated that after receiving prompt medical attention and regaining consciousness from health services and law enforcement, an acquaintance invited her to his home. There, she was forcibly administered various medications and a powdered substance via nasal administration.

According to the police press release, the woman was kept in confinement and sexually assaulted by the three men. One of the assailants allegedly assaulted her until the early hours of the incident, after which she managed to escape during a moment when two of the men were not present.

The police quickly detained the man who is alleged to have committed the sexual assault, a 33-year-old with an address tied to the location of the events. At the residence, authorities recovered numerous drugs and narcotic substances consistent with the victim’s account.

Following further inquiries, investigators were able to arrest a second individual tied to the case in Murcia for illegal detention. The third person under investigation has been fully identified, and authorities are continuing the search to locate them. [Police press release]
