Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki confirmed that Ukraine has ordered 100 Rosomak armored personnel carriers built in Poland, according to Polish Radio 24.
On Saturday, April 1, the Polish leader spoke at the factory where these APCs are manufactured.
Morawiecki stated, “Yesterday I received an order for 100 Rosomaks produced here from Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.”
The Rosomak program is expected to be funded using European and American resources allocated to Kyiv by partners.
Morawiecki also emphasized that the defense sector is gaining momentum, with new demand anticipated for military equipment from Poland, Slovenia, and Saudi Arabia.
Pavel Blonsky, former Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, argued that Warsaw will not provide Kiev with all MiG-29 fighter jets. Current data show the Polish Air Force operates 22 MiG-29A aircraft and six MiG-29UB aircraft.
These developments come amid ongoing discussions on defense support and regional security commitments in the region. [Citation: Polish government press briefings, and national news reports, 2024-2025]
