In Perm, rumors circulated after anonymous messages invited residents to audition for the TV series The Boy’s Word 2, promoted as an advertisement for a local community group on VKontakte. The claim quickly drew attention from media outlets, including URA.RU, which flagged the post as a potential misrepresentation of the project.
A local post suggested that the sequel to Zhora Kryzhovnikov’s popular series would be filmed in Perm, with writers inviting the public to join the cast and participate in crowd scenes. The message claimed filming would run from December 9 to January 5, a timeline that attracted interest from hopeful applicants and curious onlookers alike.
Official clarification soon arrived from the Wink video service. Its press team described the recruitment post as a fake and stated that no filming would take place on location in Perm for The Boy’s Word 2. This stance was echoed by other authorities connected to the project, who emphasized that the production activities were not planned in the city at that time.
Prior statements from the series producers also denied any reshoots of the last episode. Representatives from Wink and Start cinemas confirmed that The Boy’s Word is currently in broadcast, while other announced shoots, such as Blood on the Asphalt, involved long-planned additional filming in Yaroslavl rather than Perm.
In a separate thread, a figure once connected to Harvard as an integrity researcher faced accusations of dishonesty, a detail that surfaced amid the broader discussion around the production’s recruitment notices and the management of information about the series.
