Extra capital injection into the Paack package delivery platform marks a significant milestone for the Catalan company. Paack has secured 45 million euros from a strategic mix of partners, including French fund Infravia Growth and BBVA Spark, the startup investment arm of BBVA. The borrowing arrangement involved a loan of 15 million euros to support growth initiatives.

According to a public statement from the bank, the funds are aimed at accelerating Paack’s expansion into key markets. The Generalitat of Catalonia is among the institutions watching Paack’s progress as it accelerates the development of new ventures, with ambitions to strengthen market position and invest in product innovation while expanding distribution coverage across Europe.

Paack’s leadership, including CEO and co-founder Fernando Benito, emphasized the team’s gratitude and the work still ahead. With the backing of investors, the company sees a clear opportunity to lead the European e-commerce parcel market by prioritizing sustainability and customer convenience, aligning with a broader shift toward greener logistics and efficient delivery services.

Last year, Paack raised 200 million euros from SoftBank, Infravia Capital Partners, and others. A key objective shared by the founders was to be among the first to guarantee 100% of deliveries as zero-emission across Europe, a goal echoed in recent statements.

Transform traditional industry

Paack aims to position itself as a Europe-wide leader in sustainable e-commerce deliveries. The company notes continued support from its investors and management team in pursuing this path in the coming years. Infravia Growth’s Guillaume Santamaría highlighted Paack’s potential to transform a traditional logistics sector through technology and decarbonization, a strategy that resonates with BBVA Spark’s goals under Roberto Albaladejo’s leadership.

The Catalan company operates across Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal. In 2022, Paack surpassed 100 million euros in turnover and remains focused on achieving profitability across all markets where it operates. At present, the business is not yet profitable, but it continues to scale through strategic partnerships and market expansion.

Paack serves around 150 international customers, including major brands such as Amazon, Apple, Inditex, AliExpress, Nike, and Nespresso. The company’s software enables end customers to choose delivery time slots and track package status, delivering a flexible and transparent experience that appeals to both retailers and consumers.
