Amid an economic slowdown, Spanish businessmen aim to keep expanding in turnover, investment and employment. Yet concerns persist. Nearly half of executives, 48 percent, identify legal uncertainty as a principal threat to the country’s economy, ahead of political uncertainty at 44 percent and regulatory changes at 30 percent. These findings come from the twentieth edition of the Perspectives Spain 2024 survey, conducted by KPMG in collaboration with CEOE and based on responses from more than 1,350 business leaders and managers. CEOE president Antonio Garamendi emphasized that companies need an environment built on trust, moderation and understanding, with reduced uncertainty, higher regulatory quality and independent institutions.
