She began her career at Memorex Telex in 1991 as head of foreign and media relations after earlier stints at Rover and British Aerospace.
Her path then led to American multinational Compuware, where she served as Director of Communications, PR and Marketing for Spain and Portugal. Later, she joined American company Liferay, leading Iberian Marketing and Communications for over ten years.
In 2016 Pilar Carretero joined Tecnilógica, a Spanish firm devoted to developing digital solutions, as Marketing Director. After Tecnilógica was acquired by Accenture, Carretero moved on to become Marketing Co-Director for Digital Technologies at the multinational. These roles highlight her experience in shaping communications and marketing strategies for technology driven businesses across Iberia.
Pilar Carretero expresses enthusiasm about joining Orizon, a Spanish company with its own distinctive technology. Her aim is to support Orizon’s growth and expansion while positioning its technology as an international standard that ensures superior performance of company applications. Orizon already serves as a benchmark in key sectors within the country such as banking and utilities, which Carretero notes makes this opportunity an especially attractive challenge for a professional with her background. These perspectives come through in her plans to integrate comprehensive branding, communications, and market engagement that align with Orizon’s strategic goals and regional ambitions.
