Orizon, a technology company based in Alicante, has announced the appointment of Alicia Torija as commercial director. She will work alongside the leadership team and collaborate closely with the technical and marketing departments to shape and execute the company’s business strategies, aiming to accelerate growth in the technology performance sector. The company proudly confirms this leadership addition as part of its strategic plan.

Torija is an accomplished engineer in Telecommunications and Electronic Systems from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). Her professional development includes leadership, management, and business consulting studies completed at CEB (now part of Gartner) and Ernst & Young (EY). With 17 years of experience in the IT sector, she has built a strong track record in business management, sales consulting, developing commercial channels, and digital marketing.

Her career began in 2005 when she joined Newtelco Services as a network control operator. She later moved to White Telecommunications, and then to the JC Decaux England New Technologies Laboratory as an engineer. She also held a commercial engineering role at Sun Technics in the United Kingdom. In 2008, Torija became part of EMC Computer Systems Spain, taking on roles such as trading partner, joint account manager, and regional sales manager.

Torija subsequently advanced to commercial director roles for Spain and Portugal at AVEVA Group PLC, a British multinational, before joining AVEVA’s wider global design software portfolio. In 2018, she took on the position of commercial director for Spain and Portugal at Allplan Systems Spain. She held that post until her move to Orizon, where she brings extensive experience in managing large-scale technology and software initiatives.

Orizon will leverage Torija’s broad background to oversee the monitoring and optimization of Minsait Payments systems, with the goal of enhancing performance across critical platforms. This focus aligns with Orizon’s mission to elevate application performance and the efficiency of complex technological systems for major enterprises.

Alicia Torija notes that she joined Orizon at a pivotal moment as the company marks a milestone anniversary. The fifteenth year of operation coincides with a strategic initiative to evolve BOA technology and its unique Spain-based methodology into an international standard. She remarked that the successful completion of highly complex projects in the banking sector demonstrates the national and international potential of Orizon, and she expressed enthusiasm about contributing to this ascent.

Orizon’s proprietary technology is designed to optimize application performance and the IT infrastructure of large organizations. On average, its BOA platform reduces system response times by up to 25 percent and lowers total infrastructure costs by as much as 40 percent for a typical enterprise setup, according to company data and field experiences discussed internally.

Financial performance in the recent year shows the company closing with revenues of €3.5 million, up 108 percent from the previous year. Orizon has set ambitious targets, aiming to surpass €10 million in revenues in the near term as it scales its operations and expands its market reach in Spain and beyond. These figures reflect strong demand for advanced performance management solutions in the technology and financial services sectors, especially in markets within Canada and the United States where similar platforms are increasingly adopted for digital transformation initiatives.

Industry observers note that Orizon’s approach blends proprietary performance optimization with a practical, results-driven methodology. The combination of seasoned leadership, innovative software, and a clear growth trajectory positions the company as a notable player in the European tech landscape with ambitions for international expansion. As Orizon continues to execute its strategy, investors and clients alike will be watching the impact of the new leadership on project delivery, customer satisfaction, and scalable architecture across high-demand industries.
