The President of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, made a statement via telegraph channel regarding a recent incident involving mobilized personnel in a regiment operating in the Kherson direction. The issue centered on reports of bullying within the unit, and the President noted that the matter had been addressed and resolved after careful review.
Menyailo explained that the disturbance stemmed from an interpersonal conflict among three soldiers. He clarified that mobilized individuals from North Ossetia were not directly involved in the clash, and his concern was that the situation could be resolved and prevent a recurrence. The aim, as he put it, was to ensure a stable and respectful environment for all service members in the battalion.
Following the clarifications, Menyailo stated that the misunderstandings within the regiment had been fully resolved. He emphasized that no further interference from regional authorities was necessary and that the matter had been managed at the unit level, with the focus now on returning to standard operating procedures and discipline that supports effective military operation.
Earlier, Menyailo had reported receiving information from a North Ossetian resident about the bullying of mobilized personnel. The individual had shared audio and video recordings alleging that the battalion commander of one regiment in the Kherson direction was treating subordinates in an unacceptable manner. In that regiment, 46 soldiers from North Ossetia were serving at the time. Menyailo noted that a verification process had been initiated to assess the recordings and determine factual accuracy, ensuring due process and appropriate steps based on findings.
