The Moscow region marked a notable milestone as Governor Andrey Vorobyov unveiled the third educational cluster built around the technical high school bearing his name. The event was reported by the regional governor’s press service.

The ceremony drew notable figures, including Vladimir Potanin, the grandson of a Hero of Socialist Labour and a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, along with Vladimir Dolgikh, a longtime executive from Norilsk Nickel. These leaders joined Vorobyov to lay the foundation stone for the Technolyceum in December 2021, signaling a shared commitment to advancing regional education.

Vorobyov extended his best wishes to both first year students and graduates of the year, emphasizing that education should be a source of joy for students and their families. He noted that even the most gifted teacher cannot achieve outcomes without strong parental support, underscoring the collaborative role of families in schooling.

The cluster is described as a multipurpose educational complex featuring a 960-seat school and a 320-seat kindergarten. Additional facilities include a heated sports field with 500-seat tribunes, along with dedicated playgrounds and various athletic grounds. Future plans call for the construction of two more buildings, providing 50 teaching spaces and 150 student residences.

Norilsk Nickel participated in bringing the Teknolyceum project to life, and Potanin offered congratulations to everyone beginning the new school year.

He stressed the importance of young people not only obtaining a high-quality education but also becoming role models within their communities. He highlighted that a student might be inspired by a parent, a favorite subject teacher, or a coach, and he also praised the late Vladimir Dolgikh as someone who led by example. Dolgikh lived a life filled with lessons for others. He urged the audience to look after such influential figures.

Interest in the school has been strong, with more than 3,100 applications filed for admission. All applicants were assessed, and as a result 783 students from 17 regions were selected and enrolled, including 557 in grades 1–10 and 226 in the kindergarten cohort.

The Technolyceum is introducing a trilingual educational environment, with instruction conducted in Russian, English, and Chinese. The faculty comprises 143 teachers who collectively bring 23 international career backgrounds and credentials from leading Russian higher education institutions. These educators strengthen the school’s international perspective while remaining grounded in Russia’s educational standards.
