During City Day celebrations on September 9 and 10, visitors to the Moscow City Forum (MUF) will be greeted with a lively lineup of games staged on the Luzhniki field. Organizers from ANO “My Territory” describe the events as a playful quiz series titled “What? Where? When?” designed to entertain and challenge attendees with questions about Moscow itself.

A distinguished panel of participants will join forces with notable figures from the renowned intellectual circle. Teams formed by visitors of the urban forum will square off against star players and team captains including Andrey Kozlov, Maxim Potashov, Alena Povysheva, Boris Belozerov, Dmitry Avdeenko, and other prominent members of the club. The encounter is set to be a friendly yet competitive showcase that highlights Moscow’s history, geography, culture, and city landmarks through rapid-fire questions.

Each round unfolds over a full hour and features four teams, each composed of six players. After a pause to consider the prompt, teams write their answers and submit them to a moderator for scoring. The tally at the end of the round will determine the winning squad, with points awarded for accuracy and speed. The event is structured to be engaging for the audience, encouraging spectators to think along with the teams and cheer for their favorites.

Participation is straightforward. Interested residents and visitors simply approach the podium as part of the My District program in the South Core park zone and sign up to join the competition. The setup is designed to be inclusive, inviting people from different neighborhoods to test their knowledge about their city while enjoying the camaraderie of a game session.

In addition to the “What? Where? When?” games, the City Day program will feature the Quiz Arena project on the same My District podium. These arena-style quizzes are crafted to offer varied formats, rapid rounds, and opportunities for audience interaction. The goal remains the same: to celebrate Moscow through education, entertainment, and shared experiences during this citywide celebration.

The Moscow Urban Forum has been a focal point of civic dialogue and cultural exchange since its start on August 1 and will culminate on September 10. The event unfolds across the capital’s most iconic venues, including Zaryadye Park, the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, and Gostiny Dvor. Throughout this period, residents and visitors are invited to participate in discussions, demonstrations, and activities that illuminate the city’s development, heritage, and future projects.

By weaving together intellectual competition, public engagement, and city storytelling, MUF’s City Day programming aims to create an accessible platform where residents can interact with leading thinkers, athletes, and cultural figures. The mix of games, public participation, and venue variety reflects Moscow’s commitment to making urban life both educational and entertaining. Attendees walk away with not only a sense of pride in their city but also a clearer appreciation of the many layers that shape Moscow’s past, present, and evolving future.
