Two men missing after forest trip to pick blackberries in Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Northern Yenisei area of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police and rescue crews are continuing efforts to locate two men who disappeared while heading into the forest to gather blackberries. So far, only the vehicle they were last known to drive has been recovered, according to the Telegram channel from MVD 24.

The two Krasnoyarsk residents, aged 29 and 46, set out to pick berries on September 7 and never returned home. One of their wives alerted the authorities after realizing her husband had not come back. It is understood that the men directed their route toward the forest near Velmo village.

Following the report, investigators focused their search along the Velmo–Northern Yenisei highway. A car was located in a wooded area, but there were no signs of the men inside. The loss has prompted a broad mobilization of resources and coordination between agencies and communities.

Close to 50 personnel are involved in the search operation. A helicopter has been deployed to survey the forest from above, while ground teams comb the terrain in a methodical manner, examining trails, clearings, and potential search corridors. Despite these extensive efforts, neither the forest fragments nor any evidence related to the missing individuals has been found yet.
