The police report states that a passerby alerted emergency services once the victim was located, and responders arrived to find him still alive but gravely wounded.
The initial assessment described a deep stab wound to the left side of the chest, accompanied by heavy bleeding. Emergency crews faced significant challenges reaching the scene due to the rural nature of the location and transport constraints in that area. It took roughly half an hour for the ambulance and health teams to arrive and begin treatment because of the logistical hurdles involved in accessing the field.
Once on scene, the victim was intubated to secure the airway and stabilize breathing and circulation. Despite these efforts, he experienced cardiorespiratory arrest during transport to hospital facilities. Civil Protection specialists with the Sable unit reportedly managed to restore a pulse at the moment of transfer, a critical but fragile improvement amid ongoing concerns about his condition.
Upon arrival at La Paz hospital, the patient again suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest. Medical personnel acted quickly to resuscitate him, applying advanced life-support measures in an attempt to regain stable vital signs. Despite these interventions, the prognosis remained very serious, and the patient ultimately died while under treatment at the hospital facility.
