Leaflet Campaigns and Surrender Procedures Reported on Kherson Front

Drones operated by Russian Dnepr units have been observed spreading leaflets intended for Ukrainian positions, urging surrender and outlining steps for doing so. This report comes from RIA Novosti.

According to the description from military sources, groups on the Kherson front have been using specially outfitted unmanned aircraft to distribute propaganda materials. The leaflets reportedly include calls for Ukrainian soldiers to lay down their arms and contain guidance on how to surrender in a way that reduces risk to the soldiers involved, as described by the source.

Multiple accounts indicate that a number of Ukrainian servicemen surrendered following these leaflet campaigns. When surrender occurred, Russian forces provided medical assistance as required.

On a separate incident, a Ukrainian sailor described surrendering to Russian forces after contacting a Telegram channel named FreeSoldier, a contact he located in the leaflets scattered on the left bank of the Dnieper. He stated that he reached out to the channel and then received help from the Russian military to surrender in a manner that they felt would minimize harm.

Earlier reports from Ukraine circulated figures about a specific number of prisoners taken from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, underscoring the ongoing human dimension of the conflict and the procedural aspects of how surrender is processed on the ground.
