The remark underscores the evolving threat landscape in and around Kyiv as authorities monitor patterns of attack and supply routes aligned with Western-provided materiel.
Observers described the strikes as lasting for several hours, with early images circulating on social media showing damage to thermal power plants and other large facilities. The combination of targets and timing led experts to conclude that the depots involved are closely connected to Western-supplied logistics channels, a pattern that appears to be a deliberate choice by the attacking force.
