“I was on the far side of the building when it happened, but I heard a loud bang. The shop across the street said a man jumped from a car, and screams and gunshots echoed through the area. Our store sits a short distance away. A kitchenware shop nearby suffered damage. The shooter did not go into hiding. He immediately contacted authorities and reported the incident at the scene, confirming the fatal event and cooperating with investigators,” one observer recalled.
