The Rostec state corporation reported that the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant named after Yu A. Gagarin, part of United Aircraft Corporation, has completed the second delivery of the Su-35S fighter jets to the Russian Aerospace Forces this year, according to TASS.
At the plant, the production line fulfilled another batch of the Su-35S multi-role fighters, highlighting the facility’s ongoing role in equipping Russia’s air defense capabilities. The statement emphasized that the plant produced and delivered the second batch of the new Su-35S aircraft to the Russian Ministry of Defense within the current year.
UAC’s Director General Yury Slyusar noted that the factory operates under the state defense order, adhering to contractual timelines, while also meeting the Russian Aerospace Forces’ demand for advanced aviation systems by delivering ahead of schedule where possible. This underscores the plant’s capacity to synchronize military requirements with production capacities and logistical planning.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who oversees industry and trade, announced that a new batch of Su-35S fighters had been transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces, reinforcing the ongoing modernization and expansion of the country’s air power capabilities.
In related developments, Russia has continued to invest in next-generation defense technologies, including the development and deployment of drone suppression systems designed to counter evolving aerial threats and enhance overall mission effectiveness for the armed forces.
