An investigation has concluded into a criminal case in the Kemerovo region involving a 35-year-old woman accused of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm and of negligent death in connection with a fatal incident that affected a friend. The regional investigative department released the information through its press service.
The events occurred in November 2021 when the accused met a friend at a store and invited him to attend a gathering at her home. The two moved on to a banquet setting, but the evening took a sharp turn as an argument emerged. The hostess demanded that her guest leave, but he refused, stating his intention to stay and continue drinking.
In the ensuing confrontation, the woman struck the guest on the head and forcibly removed him from the residence. The guest fell, sustaining a serious head injury. He managed to reach the home where his husband called for emergency medical help. Despite the timely arrival of doctors, the injuries proved fatal and could not be treated.
Law enforcement authorities located the suspect and detained her. She did not cooperate with investigators during questioning. Nevertheless, corroborating evidence accumulated by the investigation substantiated the charges, and the indictment has been upheld. The case materials are expected to be presented to the court in the near future for judicial consideration.
Earlier reports noted another incident in which a resident of Lipetsk region stabbed a roommate and attempted to flush the weapon down the toilet, highlighting a broader pattern of violent acts being reviewed by authorities.
