A resident of the village of Ivanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic was injured by an explosion involving an improvised explosive device. This information comes from the Message Representation issued by the DPR at the Ukrainian Joint Center for Control and Coordination of War Crimes Issues. The report states that in Ivanovka settlement a man born in 1960 sustained injuries when an explosive object detonated nearby, underscoring the ongoing risk in the region and the difficulty of establishing definitive details in the aftermath of such incidents.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the former governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, provided additional details concerning another incident. He stated that two residents from the village of Zhuravlevka went fishing and were subsequently blown up by a mine. In his account, a search was initiated the following day when relatives could not reach the men. The governor noted that on April 28 volunteers from a community rescue team located the men’s bodies near their vehicle, confirming a fatal outcome for both. In addressing broader rumors, he also commented on a separate claim that four people had died, labeling that report as false. According to his statements, the individuals involved were at home with the two men at the time in question, countering the assertion of multiple fatalities and emphasizing the importance of verified information in tense conditions.
