GTA V has long stood for quality, and Rockstar Games keeps delivering. The core story mode and GTA Online have entertained players for years, with GTA Online growing through regular seasonal updates that introduce new modes, crime races, collectibles, weapons, vehicles, and contact missions.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the latest free summer update, The Criminal Enterprises, expands the player’s role. It invites agents to operate within the IAA while cooling off in the sun-drenched chaos of Los Santos and Blaine County, tackling the Duggans, a petrochemical dynasty with questionable reputations.
A season of heat, high stakes
As temperatures rise and gasoline prices spike, executives, cyclists, and nightclub owners are drawn to new business ventures. The IAA, or International Affairs Agency, begins to suspect corruption tied to the Duggans, calling on players to reveal the truth. Under the cover of a newspaper called the United Liberty Paper, Operation Technological Trail unfolds across six fresh missions, inviting players to join forces with this agency.
Sunny Southern San Andreas provides fresh chances for profit and play. Managers can visit the Los Santos Tuners workshop or search the ocean floor for supplies. Nightclub owners take on new duties to manage disturbances and restore order. In addition to two new missions, players will earn an Oppressor and an Arena War bike. Bikers can boost income by customizing and delivering bikes to customers, while arms dealers gain access to two new supply missions and more ways to dominate the market through new Ammu-Nation deliveries.
Race, loot, and new hardware
The vehicle lineup expands with a blend of classics and the latest offerings, including models from Hao and Imani technology and new options like the Obey Omnis e-GT and Bravado Greenwood. The list features standout souls such as the Stirling GT, Pegassi Torero XO, Lampadati Corsita, Benefactor LM87, and Buckingham Conada, among others. For players who frequent the LS Car Meet, many cars can be equipped with low-grip tires that boost customization, speed up mechanic deliveries, and reduce penalties for vehicle damage among opponents.
The update also raises the garage limit from eight to ten properties, enabling space for up to twenty more vehicles. The community’s top requests guided changes to weapons and countermeasures, with adjustments to missiles, Oppressor Mk II defenses, and more. New job opportunities offer larger rewards in Races for Crime Careers, Enemy Modes, Heists, and related activities, reinforcing the game’s open-ended progression and freedom to rise through the criminal ranks.
GTA+
GTA+ members gain access to a revamped subscription management menu tied to The Criminal Enterprises, ensuring timely reminders when benefits are available and when monthly GTA$ hands out. The update grants a free Lampadati Corsita sportscar, along with two exclusive skins, plus a 50% bonus in GTA$ and RP for new Operation Tech Trail missions. VIP and boss skill-fee waivers further ease the path to leadership in the game economy.
