Marketed as a new way to live together, the concept has taken shape in Alicante. The provincial capital is among the cities selected to pilot this urban living model. The initial step sees a project aimed at creating a real estate segment that offers medium stays, catering to professionals who relocate, digital nomads, and others seeking a shared living experience with roommates who share interests and form real communities.

“What we want is to attract a business already operating in other countries and bring it to Spain to become the first national operator”, says Juan Carlos Soldier, aligning this venture with home delivery or rideshare services. An engineer from Alicante is steering the effort to position the city as the second hub after four exploratory steps. Valencia already hosts 21 rooms under the same model. Another partner in the project, the CTO Borja Serra, is connected to Vicente Nicolás, the CEO.

In Alicante, the rollout began with a single building on Jose Maria Py street near General Marvá. The facility will feature 18 rooms, converting a former one-floor workspace into living quarters with a co-working area on the ground floor. The team emphasizes that this is not their sole model.

Unlike other market entrants such as Swamp GroupMuppy and the Suiters brand, which plan to buy, rehabilitate, and rent out whole properties, this option emphasizes renting a single house and then subletting to tenants. “This is a far more scalable approach, enabling faster growth”, Soldier notes.

With ambitions counting on roughly 50 homes in Alicante, Valencia, and Madrid ready before summer, the long-range goal is bold: by the end of the year to reach 150 homes, and to climb to 1,000 within three years. The team predicts this model will find a strong foothold in major capitals and provincial centers alike.

To move forward, the founders have just begun a funding round seeking 600 thousand euros from new partners and an additional 400 thousand euros in debt. This would be the second major round beyond the initial 50,000 euros raised from friends and family networks.

Targeting qualified professionals and students aged 18 to 35 who seek stays of around six months, the venture doubles down on digitization to streamline processes. One key value proposition is matching tenants with similar interests within residences, making the living-together experience more cohesive. The idea is reinforced by the use of artificial intelligence to connect people with compatible lifestyles.

Beyond flexible stays, the all-inclusive package covers services from water and internet to the cleaning and use of shared spaces. This bundled approach is designed to simplify arrangements for residents and property managers alike.

Supporters believe the initiative could rapidly gain traction in major European and North American capitals, aligning with a growing cohort of remote workers and professionals who travel frequently for work. The model speaks to a broader shift toward flexible, community-oriented living that fits modern work patterns.
