Fluidra, the global leader in pool equipment, announced on Monday a strategic move to acquire Chadson Engineering, a Perth based designer and maker of granular and regenerative filtration systems. This acquisition strengthens Fluidra’s product lineup for commercial pools and expands its capability to deliver a broad range of solutions across the Asia-Pacific region, aligning with Fluidra’s growth strategy in key markets.

In a formal statement, Fluidra highlighted that the deal will enhance its ability to serve customers with end-to-end filtration technology for large-scale aquatic installations. The integration is expected to broaden Fluidra’s portfolio of commercial filtration products and provide greater access to high performance systems that serve water treatment, theme parks, aquariums, and other sectors that rely on reliable filtration technology.

The APAC General Manager of Fluidra, Valentina Tripp, commended Chadson Engineering for its impressive product lineup and proven track record of innovation. She noted that Chadson’s offerings complement Fluidra’s existing commercial pool solutions and strengthen the company’s ability to meet the needs of customers across the Asia-Pacific corridor.

Chadson, headquartered in Perth, stands as a leading Australian manufacturer of commercial filtration systems for pools, water parks, marine facilities, aquaculture, and related industries. The founder and chief executive officer, Peter Hobson, described the partnership as a new chapter of growth and opportunity for the company, signaling a positive outlook for both parties as operations integrate.

The acquisition is subject to standard closing conditions and is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2024. This follows Fluidra’s earlier announcement at the start of the month regarding the purchase of NCWG, a major distributor of pool products in Portugal, underscoring Fluidra’s ongoing expansion and regional diversification strategy.

Industry observers note that Fluidra’s consolidation activity reflects a broader trend toward strengthening regional capabilities in water technology and pool equipment. By combining Chadson’s filtration expertise with its own global reach, Fluidra aims to deliver enhanced aftersales service, rapid product availability, and more robust support for commercial operators across North America, Canada, and the United States in particular. The deal is expected to create synergies in engineering, supply chain efficiency, and regional application knowledge that can accelerate deployment of advanced filtration solutions in diverse environments.
