A cafe fire in Nefteyugansk and a blaze in Saint Petersburg were reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, with responders on site to limit damage.
The department reported that the flame affected a single building and expanded to about 800 square meters. The roof of the structure also sustained damage over an area of roughly 100 square meters as a result of the fire in the structure.
Firefighters are on the ground, doing much to stop the flames from spreading and to secure the area, coordinating with units to keep nearby buildings safe.
On scene were twenty-three emergency responders, supported by six units of equipment allocated to extinguish the blaze.
Later, officials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that experts had localized the blaze and that containment had been achieved by the specialists on site.
On February 15, in Saint Petersburg, a fire broke out in a hospital building under construction on Vanguard Street.
The ministry reported that the fire extended to the building’s second floor, covering about 30 square meters. Seventeen emergency workers and four units of equipment were dispatched to battle the flames.
Earlier, northeast of Moscow, a fire broke out in a car service facility.
