The blaze began at 13:35 on Tuesday inside a restaurant at Heron City, located in Las Rozas. Eleven regional firefighters arrived promptly and began an on-site assessment to determine the extent of the fire as it affected multiple facilities within the building, including areas on the roof. The administration order was issued to evacuate the venue and surrounding premises as a precautionary measure.

Firefighters reported a large plume of smoke that could be seen from several points around the area.
