Fatal Stabbing Incident in Madrid Prompts Police Investigation

A middle-aged man died from stab wounds early this Monday in an apartment on Calle Infesto, located in Madrid’s San Blas-Canillejas district, according to Emergency Situations 112 report to Efe.

Authorities received the alarm at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, after an attack left several people injured on the street where several units of Samur and Civil Protection were deployed to assist.

Responders entered the building and found a man with a stab wound, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest. Despite rapid and coordinated efforts, resuscitation could not be sustained and death was confirmed at the scene.

On public streets, a second person, a 35-year-old man, was located with multiple stab injuries to the upper limbs, neck, and left chest wall. He was stabilized and transported in critical condition to Hospital La Paz for urgent care.

In addition, SUMMA112’s on-duty psychologist attended to the partner of the deceased, who was experiencing a severe anxiety attack in the aftermath of the incident.

National Police officers have taken charge of the investigations surrounding the event.
