Facephi strengthens its foothold in Alicante and expands to Panoramis after creating 160 jobs

Facephi, a leading Alicante company specialized in biometric technology for online identity verification, has passed a rigorous external audit. The process, conducted by CertifiedHe, confirms that Facephi meets the standards required for onboarding banking customers within Spain. The oversight aligns with measures from the SEPBLAC, the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Monetary Crimes Enforcement Service.

In practical terms this means the technology can verify user identity in a secure, compliant way when interacting with banks for key procedures. Account openings can be completed electronically with speed and safety through video conferencing and visual identification.

The two tools rely on Facephi technology. The first involves an intermediary during the process, while the second uses automatic facial recognition and the reading of official documents, guiding users with clear instructions throughout registration in the banking system.

FacePhi remains committed to Alicante and moves to Panoramis after creating 160 jobs in the city

Banks operating in Spain that adopt the Facephi Identity Platform will be able to verify and authenticate customer digital identities with a product that aligns with government security guidelines across all steps in the process.

Senior executives of the firm were pictured at a conference, underscoring the company’s regulatory compliance and its drive to serve banks nationwide.

In a statement, the head of quality and systems said the company has demonstrated solvency and reliability. This paves the way to offer Facephi solutions to all banking institutions in Spain and position the company as a leading provider in digital identity tech.

Receiving the compliance report clears the path for the Facephi Identity Platform to be adopted by any banking institution operating on Spanish soil. Facephi’s flexible capabilities allow tailored digital identification solutions that meet the diverse needs of clients.

The firm, led by the executive team, posted strong early-year numbers, supported by new contracts and expanding international sales. The turnover in the first half reached 7.86 million euros, reflecting ongoing growth and the expansion of existing agreements as new markets open for business.
