Test details and how to sign up

Eurocaja Rural Foundation opened the term inscription for the XI edition of the charity race. The event carries a double mission: to advance awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS, for a second consecutive year, and to raise funds that support research and outreach for patients across the foundation’s entire field of action. The drive behind the race is clear: make it a national touchstone in the fight against this degenerative disease, while also highlighting the needs of patients and their families to a broad audience. All registrations and donations designated to number zero will be distributed among five beneficiary organizations: Adelante CLM, ADELA Madrid, ELA Castilla y León, ADELA Comunidad Valenciana, and ELA Región de Murcia. — Rural Foundation

The goal of this initiative is to turn the annual event into a nationwide focal point for ALS advocacy. The effort also aims to foster social awareness about the importance of supporting patients and their families who live with this disease. The distribution of donations to the five beneficiary groups remains a core aspect of the fundraiser. — Rural Foundation

Race details and how to sign up

The race will be conducted in two formats: a traditional face-to-face event in Toledo on October 1, and a virtual edition running from September 25 to October 10, amplified across social networks with the hashtag CarrerasSolidariasFundacionECR. — Rural Foundation

The event will continue to begin and end at Eurocaja Rural headquarters, located at C/Méjico, no. 2, while introducing several enhancements intended to engage a wider range of participants. This edition features a refreshed T-shirt design that includes the distinctive green ribbon, symbolizing solidarity with ALS patients. — Rural Foundation

In addition to the main race, a solidarity walk will take place before the start at 10:00. There are two 5 km routes designed to be accessible for runners and walkers alike, with inclusivity in mind for participants with disabilities. A 10 km course challenges more experienced runners, while a special track guides participants past notable landmarks such as the valley and the Toledo Monument, captivating both locals and visitors. Family-friendly routes are also offered in different categories, starting around 11:30. — Rural Foundation

For another year, the event enjoys the collaboration of the Toledo City Council, which supports the city-wide green initiative, and the participation of cooperating companies and organizations that help drive the cause. Outside of the extended activities, prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each category for both women and men. All participants receive a runner’s bag containing the specially designed XI Solidarity Race T-shirt, along with essentials to support the event, health care information, and entertainment for spectators. A dedicated playground area for children at the start and finish adds a family-friendly dimension, with various information and product stands available nearby. — Rural Foundation

Registrations for the face-to-face edition are open through September 28 at 14:00, while the virtual race registrations close on October 1 at 12:00. Participation fees are set at 10 euros for the children’s category and 12 euros for the general category. Supporters can also contribute to the number zero until October 10 to aid ALS research and outreach. Details about registration and participation are shared by the organizers and supported by partners across the community. — Rural Foundation
