The Valencian Community ranked as the fourth autonomous community in Spain for digital job offers. A recent Employment Map study, conducted by the Telefonica Foundation, analyzed advertisements from Infojobs, Tecnoempleo, and Ticjob portals using Big Data and Artificial Intelligence techniques.
The report highlights Madrid as the leading autonomous community for these profiles, with 22,197 postings over the last three months. Catalonia reported 14,118, and Andalusia 4,285. Nationally, the Valencian Community accounted for 4,117 offers, followed by the Basque Country with 2,984 and Galicia with 1,296.
Within the Valencian Community, Valencia Province posted the most opportunities for digitally skilled workers, totaling 2,736 vacancies in the last quarter. Alicante accounted for 1,106 advertisements, while Castellon listed 275 openings from various employers.

Regarding the specific profiles most in demand, software developers led the list with 534 job postings. The second most needed roles were digital project managers with 424 offers, followed by ICT technical experts with 379.

Autonomy focused companies also sought up to 362 system administrators and 261 digital marketing specialists.
The Telefónica Foundation notes that trends such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and Big Data drive growth, development, and innovation across different productive sectors. At the same time, the sector faces a shortage of professionals with expertise in these areas. Across the European Union, ICT professionals make up 4.5 percent of employment; in Spain the share is 4.1 percent, according to the Spain Digital Society 2023 report published by the same organization.
In the latest June release, the Employment Map shows a total of 87,391 digital job offers across Spain, with the Valencian Community contributing 4.7 percent of these opportunities.

The Employment Map also identifies the digital skills most in demand. In the last three months, JavaScript was the top listed skill, appearing in 253 job postings in the autonomous community. Following this demand were Java with 230 postings and HTML with 192.
