The ‘home road’ remains with Atresmedia. The episode that will close its first season was announced this Wednesday by the pre-release audio-visual team alongside renewal news for the nostalgic program hosted by Albert Espinoza.

As the network stated in a press release, the show is already in development of a new batch of episodes featuring fresh celebrities who will trace the journey from home to school, exploring how those early experiences shaped the people they have become today. The forthcoming season promises an emotional arc that invites viewers to see celebrities in an entirely new light, offering moments of reflection and connection that go beyond the studio walls.

El camino de casa will therefore continue on Atresmedia after its initial run. The program has delivered an average audience share of 4.8 percent across five installments already released. Produced by 7 and Action, the format stands out particularly among viewers aged 25 to 34, where it recorded a 5.1 percent share. Regions such as Aragon (7.5%), the Rest of Spain (6.3%), Madrid (5.2%), Euskadi (5.2%), Catalonia (5%), and Asturias (5%) posted the strongest numbers, highlighting a nationwide resonance that cuts across urban and rural audiences alike.

Ana Peleteiro will be the figure who closes the first season of El camino a casa. The finale promises to deliver the emotion, memories, surprises, and honest moments that characterize the series, while delving into Peleteiro’s challenging childhood and the bullying she faced in her hometown. The athlete will recount how she transformed pain into resilience and the determination required to reach Olympic glory, offering viewers a candid portrait of perseverance and strength.

The episode will also feature other poignant moments, including a visit to the Galician dance center where the medalist learned to move as a child and a return to the athletics track named after her. It will be an installment rich with emotion, reconnection, and recollections that allow audiences to meet Ana Peleteiro from her earliest origins to the woman she is today.

Throughout the first season, six celebrities navigated the journey from school to home together, recalling their childhoods. The lineup included bullfighter Jesulín de Ubrique visiting his hometown of Ubrique, singer Rosa López revisiting the Granada district where she spent her early years, actor Fernando Tejero reliving his first steps in Córdoba, and Pocholo Martínez-Bordiú returning to Marbella after four decades. Luis Tosar revisited his hometown Lugo and took part in a heartfelt presentation that resonated with viewers who remembered his beginnings.
