A Kopeisk resident received a three-year prison term after assaulting his partner with a teapot, according to a Telegram channel reporting on local events titled “Kopeisk in the topic.”
The court heard that a 39-year-old Kopeysk resident sustained a head injury and was hospitalized after a dispute with his live-in partner escalated. During a morning argument as they were preparing breakfast, the woman called him to the kitchen several times. He approached, took a sip of tea, and complained that it had cooled, an exchange that apparently triggered the confrontation.
In the ensuing incident, the Kopeychanka grabbed the kettle and struck her roommate on the head. A criminal case was opened in connection with the beating, and the court subsequently sentenced the Russian woman to three years in prison.
Earlier, a resident of Novoaltaisk faced a separate case after accusing a Russian woman of using a hoe to assault a man who had attacked his partner during a drunken altercation. The 41-year-old victim was taken to hospital, and doctors reported significant blood loss, with the man ultimately not surviving. A criminal case has been opened against the woman, and investigators continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
There have also been reports of men being beaten with logs in the context of separations, illustrating a broader pattern of violence that has prompted local officials to call for greater vigilance and support for those affected by domestic conflicts.
