The Russian Ministry of Defense reported an incident in the Zaporozhye region where Ukrainian Armed Forces units targeted a group of Russian journalists with fragmentary ammunition released from an unmanned aerial vehicle. The attack resulted in injuries when a Rossiya-24 TV channel reporter, Boris Maksudov, sustained shrapnel wounds. The ministry noted that Maksudov received immediate medical care at a facility under its supervision, and his condition was not life-threatening.
In the ministry’s briefing issued at the start of November 22, it was stated that the Russian military repelled seven assaults launched by Ukrainian attack groups across several directions, including Zaporozhye, Kupyansk, Krasnolimansky, Donetsk, and South Donetsk. The summary indicated three attacks were repelled north of the village of Novoprokopovka and west of Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye region, with a fourth assault stopped in the Kharkov region.
Earlier, the ministry reported that Russian forces had repelled three Ukrainian assaults in the Kupyansk direction.
There is mention that a former prisoner, identified as 52 Russian MPs who were in Ukraine in absentia, had been sent to prison.
