Clash at a Madrid nightclub leaves seven injured
Seven people were hurt, two of them severely, when a brawl erupted early Saturday at a nightclub located in the lower Azca area of Madrid’s Tetuán district. Emergency services reported the incident to Europa Press.
The altercation occurred in the early hours of Saturday in the same district where Samur-PC crews attended to seven men aged between 18 and 45. Three of the injured were transferred to hospital for treatment.
Among the injured, a 27-year-old man sustained head and facial trauma and was transported in stable condition to San Carlos Clinical Hospital. He is described as potentially serious after the incident. Another 27-year-old man, hurt by a knife in the left side of his abdomen, was taken to La Paz Hospital with a hospital report.
In addition, a 45-year-old man with a minor stab wound to the groin area was admitted to Gregorio Marañón Hospital. Samur-PC teams also treated four men aged 18, 19, 20, and 30 who sustained bite marks and minor bruises at the scene.
Authorities from the National Police, working in cooperation with the Municipal Police, are examining the origins of the fight and pursuing leads to identify those involved. The investigation continues as investigators gather statements from witnesses and review surveillance footage to establish how the confrontation began and spread across the venue.
