The Civil Guard is pursuing the severed head of Soledad, a 65-year-old woman who was killed by her partner a few days ago at her home in Soto del Real, Madrid. Alarmed by Soledad’s sister, investigators went to the residence and found the woman’s body in the garage, bearing multiple gunshot wounds, according to information obtained by this investigative channel.
In a room on the first floor, authorities located the body of Soledad’s partner and the suspected killer, Jorge, a 53-year-old retired local police officer. The house also contained a carbine, a shotgun, and several knives that could have been used after the crime.
Several shots
Evidence from the investigation indicates that the man fired several rounds at his partner, decapitated her, disposed of the head, and then took his own life, possibly with the carbine. Autopsies of both bodies are scheduled to be performed today at the Institute of Legal Medicine.
Guardia Civil officers are now trying to locate the missing head, which was not found at the scene or with the body. They are searching nearby farms and open areas around the couple’s residence.
Mother of two daughters
Soledad, a mother of two and the widow of her first husband, had begun the process of separating from her current partner, Jorge. She had not previously filed reports of domestic violence.
The suspected killer had worked as a local police officer in Soto del Real for many years until an accident forced his retirement due to incapacity. According to sources consulted for this report, he had no prior criminal record.
