A resident of Engels reported an incident where his daughter was removed from a bus despite having paid for the ride. The claim was shared publicly as Engels online.

According to the girl’s mother, the event occurred on February 19 on a bus operating along route 284.

“My child boarded the vehicle at the last stop in Pribrezhny. The conductor collected the fare, and the girl later said the conductor approached her again at the Melioration Village stop. When he removed his hat, it appeared he did not recognize her, and he insisted that she pay again,” the schoolgirl’s mother explained in her account.

The woman stated that the girl presented her ticket to the conductor, but the conductor said the ticket was invalid.

The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Saratov Region in the Russian Federation conducted an inquiry into the matter, as reported by the department’s press service. This case has drawn attention to travel fare validation practices and passenger handling on regional bus routes, prompting ongoing scrutiny by authorities and local transport officials.

Earlier, a separate incident was reported in Karelia where a female student was knocked down by a bus while in a forested area, highlighting safety concerns in public transport across different regions. Authorities continue to review procedures to ensure fair treatment of passengers and to reinforce safety measures across routes and stops.
