Amur Region Health Camp White Mountains Shutdown

In the Amur region, officials from the sanitary watchdog has temporarily halted operations at the White Mountains health camp following a mass illness among participating children. The agency disclosed the suspension through its press service and official telegram channel.

The halt was issued after officials assessed a cluster of illnesses among campers. Medical teams diagnosed an acute intestinal infection in several wards of the facility. Inspections also revealed violations of sanitary and epidemiological standards within the food preparation and service areas.

Eight children have been admitted to hospitals as of the latest updates, and authorities are working on arrangements to return the affected students home when safe. An epidemiological investigation has been launched to determine the source and provide guidance to prevent further cases.

Earlier reports from the Baza Telegram channel referenced the White Mountains camp, a venue hosting 70 students aged 8 to 16 for sports and recreational activities, who were affected by the illness.
