Ten prisoners, two hundred sixty people identified, and more than thirty sanction proposals marked the night in Alicante. A special device for field control was coordinated from the Alicante Provincial Police Station, brought to the fore by a structured effort. The operation involved agents from the Prevention and Response Units, the Operational Response Group, the Dog Guides Unit, Air Resources, the Citizens’ Attention Group, and various support staff. It was conducted in collaboration with the Brigades and Districts of the Alicante Provincial Police Station and the Alicante Local Police, aiming to maintain order during the celebrations.
During the night, a total of 260 people were identified through checks. The measures led to more than 30 sanction proposals for offenses such as drug possession, possession of knives, and disobedience. Ten individuals were arrested for different crimes, including drug trafficking, violations of road safety rules, or because they were listed on judicial holds. The police clarified that these actions were part of a broader plan to ensure safety and compliance during the festivities.
The police statement emphasized that the objective of the Alicante Provincial Police Station was achieved by increasing citizen safety during the celebrations. This approach allowed residents and visitors to participate in the events with greater confidence about their personal security.
Alongside the local force, 180 officers from the National Police took part in the special assembly for the Three Kings Parade in Alicante. The aim was to guarantee the free exercise of citizens’ rights and freedoms and to ensure the safety of all attendees and participants, so that minors could focus on receiving their gifts without worry. With the support of local police, a dedicated operation was organized from Thursday afternoon through the night into today, crafted to let people celebrate the arrival of the Magi from the East into the late hours with a strong safety net in place.

The plan focused on preventing actions by so-called pickpocket groups. These criminals specialize in stealing personal items without the owners noticing. They originate from various parts of the country and coordinate their activities with precise roles for each member. The groups typically avoid violence, choosing busy, central places where crowds gather. Their goal is clear, and the police response centers on vigilance and rapid interdiction. Citizens were advised to safeguard their belongings and keep a close eye on children during the parade crowds.
The National Police maintained a visible presence along the parade route and around surrounding areas to deter theft and other criminal acts. The current anti-terrorism alert level was acknowledged, and officers in uniform, along with civil personnel, were deployed to ensure continuous security for all participants and spectators. The coordinated effort demonstrated a commitment to a safe, orderly celebration while allowing the public to enjoy the festivities without disruption.
