National Police agents in Alicante arrested four men following a violent robbery that targeted a single victim. They allegedly used force and intimidation to seize a mobile phone. The suspects were taken into custody after officers connected several complaints to a common pattern of violence and theft in the area.

Investigators from the Northern Territory National Police Station Investigation Group II began the inquiry after a cascade of reports linking the same group to multiple attacks. The inquiries focused on the alleged ties between the four men and the incidents described by victims and witnesses over recent days.

In one primary incident, the victim reported being assaulted by four men who surrounded him in a northern square. Two of the assailants struck him repeatedly while the others used intimidation to press for the mobile phone. A separate complaint from witnesses against two other detainees described a similar motive and timing, including another stolen mobile device and a confrontation that allegedly involved minor injuries to a different victim. The police are reviewing all statements to determine the exact sequence and the role of each detainee in the robberies.

They acted with impunity and shown little regard for the victim

Following a thorough review of the reported events, investigators identified a distinctive modus operandi. The group is said to have targeted a specific victim, approached in a coordinated manner, and then closed in with force to seize valuables. The pattern suggested a calculated risk tolerance, as the perpetrators gambled on the victim’s inability to defend themselves in the moment.

Meanwhile, authorities examined two additional reports that appear connected to the same robbery scheme. One involved the theft of a mobile phone from a person who was later found to be connected to the group, allegedly stolen while the individual was resting in a public square. The other case involved a separate assault where the complainant described being attacked by someone connected to the original robbery. The assailant reportedly insulted and then inflicted a minor knife wound near the collarbone, with investigators considering a possible revenge motive tied to the earlier crime. Evidence is being gathered to test this theory.

As the investigation progressed, police established a plan to locate and apprehend the four suspects. All four were charged with robbery with violence and threats as part of the ongoing case file.

The detainees, aged 18 to 22 and of Moroccan nationality, have been presented to the Court of Inquiry. They have prior police records for violent robberies against vulnerable individuals, raising concerns about a broader pattern of criminal activity in the area. Three of the detainees remain in custody, with decisions pending on arraignments and further investigative steps.

Authorities emphasize the seriousness of these offenses and reiterate their commitment to protecting the public. The case continues to unfold as prosecutors gather additional evidence and seek to establish the full scope of the events and relationships among the involved individuals. Citations to official statements will be provided as the investigation progresses.
