The commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov, announced that Russian troops in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) stand ready to repel any Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive. He conveyed this in a recent interview with TASS, emphasizing calm and preparedness for the defense ahead.

Officials stressed there is no reason for the public to panic. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Center for Information-Psychological Operations reportedly has been operating at full capacity to shape perceptions of the conflict.

Alaudinov noted that Ukrainian footage might show tanks and film crews on the move, yet there has been no credible report that Ukrainian forces have breached Russian lines or damaged established defenses.

According to the commander, Ukrainian actions have been predictable, while Russian units have been advancing in recent days, countering Ukrainian moves and signaling a readiness to strike if needed.

He added that Ukrainian sorties into the front area have continued to assess defensive positions, though there has not been any mass movement of hundreds of tanks toward the contact line in the Lugansk region.

As described by Alaudinov, Russian forces presently control nearly the entire LPR without suffering losses, reinforcing the strategic posture in the region.

The interview also touched on reports that Ukrainian forces faced setbacks near Belogorovka, with new reinforcements reportedly arriving in the area on a daily basis.
