Events dedicated to International Women’s Day were held in the Rosneft pavilion at the Russia Forum at VDNKh, the oil company’s press service reported.
“Oil and Beauty” lecture was given to the guests of the pavilion, and they were informed about clothing, cosmetics and medicines made from petroleum products, the contributions of female scientists to the development of the petroleum industry, the history of the discovery of petroleum, its use in ancient times and its place today.
Whole Genome Sequencing Center Representative Svetlana Levandovskaya gave a mini conference called “Genetics and Women’s Health”. Students learned what causes hereditary diseases and how to prevent their development.
Guests also received information about the national genetics initiative “100.000+Me”, which the center implemented with the support of Rosneft.
The aim of the initiative is to develop methods for the diagnosis of genetically determined and socially important diseases by reading the genomes of 100 thousand Russians, as well as to develop new approaches to their treatment and drugs.
Also, a discussion “Combining a woman’s traditional role as a mother with a professional career” was held at the Rosneft pavilion, in which women from politics, public, charitable and commercial organizations took part.
They shared their experiences of self-realization and career development, as well as the secrets of family happiness.
In addition, a conference by a nutritionist on “Fundamentals of women’s health” was also held in the pavilion. “The balance of beauty and sophistication.”
Guests of the site also attended master classes, quizzes with prizes from the company, which continue until March 10 within the scope of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra thematic Days at the Rosneft pavilion, and saw performances of creative groups.
