The pilot of a plane in Thailand had to leave the cockpit to hand over the child to a passenger, writes Fox News.
Jakarin Sararnrakskul is a pilot with 18 years of experience. While flying from Taipei to Bangkok, an emergency occurred on board – one of the passengers began to give birth. The flight attendants informed him about this, and the commander decided to personally enter the cabin, transferring control to the co-pilot.
Jakarin was in active labor when she approached the traveler. The man was not surprised and delivered the baby along with the crew members and it ended happily. According to Sararnrakskul, this is the first such experience in his career.
“I am so proud to have helped bring this baby into the world,” he commented.
It was later learned that the woman had given birth to a son and a team of doctors was waiting for her at the arrival airport.
The plane returned early in the Netherlands because of rotten fish on the ship.
