European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at the Munich Security Conference that the post of European Defense Commissioner should be included in the next formation of the EC for the first time. This was reported by TASS.
“If I chair the next European Commission, I will of course also create the post of European Commissioner for Defence. “I don’t know which country it will be from yet, but we need this article,” he said.
The next formation of the European Commission will begin its work in November 2024.
