The number of Russian soldiers to be sent to the military base established in the Central African Republic (CAR) is not yet known. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador in the country, Alexander Bikantov. RIA News.
The diplomat noted that Moscow and Bangui are currently discussing the establishment of a military base through their defense ministries. At the same time, the parties have not yet determined how many Russian fighters will be sent to the CAR and for how long.
“Currently, the location of Russian military personnel is being selected,” Bikantov said.
The ambassador also noted the positive impact of the establishment of the Russian military base on the security situation in CAR. According to him, the implementation of this initiative will strengthen the foundations of protecting the national sovereignty of the republic.
