National Police warns of a scam on job portals that could have 1,500 potential victims

National Police Agents Las Palmas de Gran Canaria learned of a scam on their employment website where jobs were offered by impersonating someone else. official body SEPE (Civil Service Government Employment).

SEPE representative’s complaint Palm related to Gran CanaryHe reported to the National Police that several people had come to their office to show off a fake job offer announcement.

Thanks to the evidence provided by several victims from the same agency, it was possible to confirm that the advertisements in question on job portals replaced the official agency. Upon entering the link, a document with official abbreviations and logos of SEPE was downloaded and requested here as an identity document. DNI or NIE, bank account number and photo.

Up to 1,500 people may have reached this link and submitted their personal data. The National Police launched an investigation to clarify the facts and identify all possible victims.
