The title of “Hero of Ukraine” requested in Lviv to be returned to Bandera

The Lvov district council demanded the return of Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych to the title of “Hero of Ukraine”. This was reported by the “Western” publication.

It is noted that the regional council has already sent an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. It is also reported that it is not the first time that Lvov officials have returned the title to the leaders of the Bandera movement.

Previously in the Ukrainian authorities of Vinnitsa decided to rename From Leo Tolstoy street to Stepan Bandera street. As part of the campaign to rename the place names, about 53 objects of Vinnytsia were included.

In total, 232 streets, currently bearing Ukrainian names, have been renamed.

Before that, the football stadium “Arena Lviv” could soon be renamed “Arena Lviv”, named after Stepan Bandera. With such an initiative, the deputies of the Lviv Regional Council addressed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. 68 deputies supported the objection, while seven more deputies abstained from voting.

Previously known in Ukrainian Khust has been renamed From Leo Tolstoy street to Boris Johnson street.
