During the six-month existence of the working group on special military operations issues, experts examined 28,000 applications from soldiers and their families, on the basis of which dozens of initiatives were prepared, most of them already. become federal laws. The head of the group and secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak reported such results to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of United Russia reported.
In the sixth report of the working group on NMD issues to the head of state, it is stated that among the problems resolved were the return of accidentally mobilized citizens home, the provision of equipment and payments to the soldiers, as well as sending them on vacation.
“Dozens of initiatives have been prepared in line with the demands of the group. Many of them have already become federal laws. These include the recognition of Donbass militias as war veterans, the right of NMD members to receive free legal aid, the inclusion of themselves and their children in a special quota for admission to universities, and a number of other support measures.” Said Andriy Turchak.
He noted that the group is currently developing a mechanism to ensure that the combat experience and qualifications that NWO members receive as part of voluntary formations are taken into account when moving on to a contract.
In addition, according to the head of the group, work is underway to establish a “perfect mechanism” for the transfer of military personnel from the army to civilian hospitals for treatment and vice versa. The group also proposes to increase the capacity of military medical commissions.
Also, Turchak talked about the work being done on a single measure standard to support NWO participants and their families. These measures will include free social services for parents and spouses of fighters. In addition, it is planned to maintain extended family status in NWO even if one of the children dies.
Another initiative is to exclude from its income payments to contract soldiers and volunteers serving in the SVO, as these are taken into account when allocating assistance to children. One-time rewards for rewards will also be introduced.
The working group on NWO issues was established in December last year at the behest of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The first deputy chairman of the Federation Council was headed by Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Andrey Turchak. The group included representatives of both chambers of the federal parliament and all parliamentary parties, the Ministry of Defense, leaders of public institutions and leading military correspondents.
