The family of student Anna Tsomartova, who disappeared in Dagestan, sent messages to the Investigative Committee about their daughter’s alleged contact with representatives of the crisis group CK SOS. The missing woman’s mother, Diana Tsomartova, told socialbites.ca.
The woman confirmed that an unidentified person who introduced himself as the coordinator of the SOS IC contacted the administrator of the channel dedicated to the search for Anna, stating that the missing girl allegedly contacted the center. In the correspondence, he asked for money for information about Tsomartova and after being refused, he deleted the correspondence.
“I’m not saying I’m sure. In fact, the girl contacted and informed the administrator of our channel. However, I have some doubts that this could also happen. Due to a recent incident, when a Dagestan girl was taken out of Russia absolutely calmly, through very strict checkpoints by the SK SOS group and passed through customs and was taken to Georgia. After such messages, Nadezhda, the administrator of the Telegram channel, began to learn about it and contacted him. “I don’t know, are they scammers?” But such contact took place. When Nadezhda announced that she would not pay the money, they blocked her and confiscated her messages, but Nadezhda was initially preparing for such an event – she scanned the messages while they were communicating. “I have already handed over the screenshots and the full text of the messages to the investigator involved in the investigation,” said Diana Tsomartova.
He added that he was ready to pay a reward if information was sent to him regarding Anna’s whereabouts. According to him, the family is now selling the apartment for the sake of this information.

The alleged coordinator stated that he received a request for release with a note stating that the girl was “followed by certain people.”
Later, human rights activists on the Telegram channel SK SOS denied information about the discovery of Tsomartova and stated that they did not know anything about her location and fate. The organization added that SOS IC coordinators and employees did not contact Tsomartova’s relatives or a representative of the Telegram channel.
Anna Tsomartova, a 21-year-old law student in Rostov-on-Don, disappeared on February 10, 2024. He came to Kaspiysk from Rostov-on-Don for a Thai boxing competition but lost. Media reported that the girl became very upset and left the sports complex, leaving her mobile phone there.
In January, Tsomartova’s mother reported that one of the State Duma deputies appealed to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov regarding the missing athlete and asked to control the investigation into her disappearance.
