Fico said Slovak authorities will not support sending military personnel to Ukraine 17:42

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico said that Slovakia’s current government would never support sending troops to Ukraine. His words are quoted by the portal Pravda.

“The government I head will never support Ukraine’s entry into NATO, because this will only lead to the third world war,” he said.

He also stated that the Slovak government will not send its troops to Ukraine to avoid being dragged into a conflict with the Russian Federation.

January 19, Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gaspar statedRussian President Vladimir Putin and his future US counterpart Donald Trump may agree on Ukraine’s military neutrality. GaÅ¡par reminded Fico’s words, who opposed Ukraine’s NATO membership. According to him, Bratislava will support decisions that provide guarantees (including security) for both Moscow and the EU.
